A special edition colourway of the Nike Dunk Low "Jackie Robinson" pays tribute to the life and legacy of the civil rights pioneer and Baseball Hall of Famer. The "Jackie Robinson" Dunk Low honours Jackie Robinson, who broke baseball's colour barrier in 1948, and is part of Nike's July 2022 release cycle. The Racer Blue leather overlays on the toe cap, forefoot, eyelets, collar, heel, and Swoosh, all of which are embroidered with motivational sayings by Jackie, are the first nod to his time with the Brooklyn Dodgers in the colour scheme. A cream-grey coloration may be seen on the leather foundation. The Brooklyn Dodgers' former team colours served as the inspiration for the two hues when used together. His "42" jersey number on the heel is another reference to Jackie's time with the team. The tongue features a commemorative "75th anniversary" patch in honour of Jackie Robinson's entry into Major League Baseball in 1948.
